Size for continuity, not vanity
Private AI backplanes exist to keep critical workloads alive when providers wobble. Right-size GPU clusters for real workload profiles and defined failover paths, not slideware. Capacity planning should include degraded-mode targets and power/facility constraints.
Governance and observability by default
Treat usage, cost, performance, and policy adherence as first-class telemetry. Sovereign compute without governance is just expensive hardware. Bake in audit trails, access controls, and model lineage so compliance doesn’t depend on tribal knowledge.
Plan for AI risk and disinformation
AI governance and disinformation threats will grow. Build runbooks for model drift, content trust, and provider policy changes. Sovereign stacks give you control; disciplined monitoring and response keep that control intact.
sys3(a)i POV: We approach critical systems work by stress-testing architectures, integrating observability and governance from day one, and designing sovereign or edge footprints where independence and continuity matter most.
